It's no secret that I love my teas, but it's more than just the taste! There are SO MANY health benefits from drinking herbal teas and I'm going to share my top 3 favourites below. Herbal teas have become increasingly popular over the years, not just for their yummy taste, but also because of their healing properties. Who doesn't love a good Lavender Tea to help calm the body before bed?



TOP 3 FAVOURITE TEAS + THEIR HEALTH BENEFITS


1. OOLONG TEA

Oolong tea has been used for centuries (dating as far back as 2,000 BCE) as a traditional beverage in Chinese medicine.


Benefits of Oolong Tea:

· Reduces risk of HEART DISEASE by controlling Cholesterol levels

· Aids in WEIGHT LOSS + Healthier Gut Bacteria

Last but not least, black teas are in my list of top 3 favourites because VARIETY! Not to mention, the caffeine kick! Unlike the 2 teas above, I’m going to elaborate more on this one because there really are so many varieties of black teas, and each variety comes with its own set of benefits. I’m sure you’ve already guessed that my favourite variety of black tea is our signature LAVENDER EARL GREY. Earl grey is and always will be a classic, and one of the best things about Earl Grey is that it is an easy tea to “spice up” with flavour. I’m talking Lavender, Rose, Creamy (those are definitely the best ones that come to mind), but truly, Earl Grey is definitely the best black tea to get creative with!


Benefits of Black Teas:

· Increases MENTAL ALERTNESS, due to the higher levels of caffeine

· Prevents ORTHOSTATIC HYPOTENSION (dizziness upon standing) by increasing blood

pressure (this is a really good one if you struggle with low blood pressure like me)

· Decreased risk of PARKINSON’S DISEASE

· Reduces risk of fatal HEART ATTACK

· Significantly lowers risk of OVARIAN CANCER
