Rosé Latté Recipe

I hope you'll stop to smell the roses on this one (literally)! Our Rosé Latté is Pink, Pretty, Aromatic, and tastes like pure Bliss! I'm going to share my secret ingredient, which is essential to achieving this "pretty in pink" colour. The culinary grade rose pedals gives this hot bevy a nice touch, too.

There are actually 2 different ways to make our Rosé Latté:

  1. Caffeinated

In our caffeinated Rosé Latté, we add 1 or 2 shots (customer's choice) of espresso

  1. Non-caffeinated

In our non-caffeinated Rosé Latté, we do not use any espresso

I'm a HUGE fan of using edible flowers in foods and beverages. It's a simple trick to making any dish or drink look absolutely beautiful! It really gives that WOW factor, especially when customers are paying a premium price and expecting a premium experience! Rose pedals are known to have anti-inflammatory properties to help soothe common colds, seasonal allergies, inflammation, headaches, and even helps with soothing PMS symptoms during menstrual cycles.

Now, when I say "culinary grade" rose pedals, I mean pesticide free! You want to be sure that you are purchasing your edible flowers from a trusted, reputable source. If you grow your own roses, and would like to use those, just make sure you give them a rinse before you use them.

  1. 1/2 cup milk of your choice (I use Vanilla Unsweetened Almond Milk)

  2. 1tsp of our HEART BEETS A LATTE mix

  3. 1tsp Honey (if you prefer other/vegan sweeteners, I suggest using Maple Syrup or Agave)

  4. OPTIONAL: 1 or 2 shots of espresso

  5. 1tbsp dried culinary grade rose pedals

One of the most important items you'll need in order to make the perfect latte is a milk frother. If you are a latte everyday kind of gal or guy, I highly recommend getting a good quality frother like this Breville one. If you're just looking for a quick and easy solution to making a latte once in a while, this frother does the trick, too! I actually have this exact one and it works well.

You'll want to use a french press like this one to infuse the rose pedals. This process allows the pedals to float freely and control the infusion time for optimal extraction of beneficial compounds. You do NOT want to boil the rose pedals.

Step 1:

Add 1tbsp rose pedals to your infuser, then add boiling water. Allow approximately 5 minutes for the rose pedals to infuse the water. Watch how the colour of the water changes from a blue hue, to a pink hue :)

Step 2:

Strain rose water into a cup/mug of your choice, then add 1tsp honey (or preferred sweetener)

Step 3:

Add 1tsp of our HEART BEETS A LATTE mix and whisk or froth until completely mixed. I prefer to use a frother at this stage because it really does a better job at dissolving the the power mix, but also adds a bit of fluffiness!

This is where you would add your espresso for the caffeinated version of this beverage!

Step 4:

Add 1/2 cup of foamed/frothed milk of your choice. This is the most important part in making a perfect latte!

Step 5:

Garnish with dried rose pedals and/or sprinkle some of our HEART BEETS A LATTE powder on top of the foamed milk!

Voilà, now you have a perfect Rosé Latté!
